Multiply the Mission: The Campaign for St. Al's

As you can well-imagine, the pandemic has somewhat slowed progress on St. Al’s Multiply the Mission Campaign in recent months. It’s certainly not something we had in the plan! Nonetheless, it is amazing that we are already homing in on the $2 million mark for pledges to the campaign. A big thank you to everyone who has already made a gift!

The early fruits of the campaign have continued to be a great blessing! During the strictest part of the lockdown in March and April, the relocated priest residence, the extra meeting rooms, and the attic all ended up being of great benefit!

We could never have imagined that the south-facing attic windows would become the epicenter of the parish’s spiritual life during those weeks. One of the endur-ing images of the pandemic for our community will be Fr. Dustin leaning out the window to give benediction with the Blessed Sacrament.

Our FOCUS Team this fall is the biggest it’s ever been due to expanded support from the campaign.  It is crucial when many of our bigger social events are cur-tailed to be all the better able to reach students in small group settings.

Reaching the overall campaign goal will empower St. Al’s ministry through:

• Expanded music ministry
• Improvements to the Chapel Rat Residence, the Parish Offices, the Parish Hall, and the Lower Entrance
• Sustainable long-term funding through the St. Al’s Endowment.
