My name is Nathan Dills. I was born and raised in East Grand Rapids, Michigan, and I am the oldest of four children. I am a fifth year student at Michigan Tech studying Biomedical Engineering with an International German minor and will be graduating this spring with the intention of going to medical school somewhere in Michigan.
I got involved with St. Al's in my first year during freshman orientation. While attending several of the events at the church I found a good group of friendly people. Gradually I got more involved in campus ministry.
I have served St. Al's as the Pastoral Council President, a student leader and disciple within FOCUS, the director of freshman orientation and new student outreach, and now the leader of a new ministry: SASS (St. Al's Saturday Service). I've also been much more regular in attending the sacraments and Bible studies, so my faith has been blessed through community and prayer.
By far the greatest blessing here at St. Al's is the incredible community. The meaningful and authentic friendships that I have been blessed with help me to truly feel a part of the Church of Christ and have encouraged me to become the person that I am called to be. Now I feel truly prepared to live out my faith and be a leader as a strong Catholic man in medical school and beyond.
