St. Al's Wins All-Nighter Snow Statue Contest!

For the second year in a row St. Albert the Great University Parish has won the all-nighter category of the Michigan Tech Winter Carnival snow statue competition.

St. Al's beat out 12 other entries for the top honor.

This year's Winter Carnival theme was "As snow accumulates at alarming rates, we show our love for the fifty states."

The St. Al's statue included a Marian grotto set behind an outline of the state of Maryland, with the title "Covered by Ice and Snow, to MARYland We Will Go!"
