June 13, 2022Annika (’22 BS Environmental Engineering) says the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS) missionaries have helped her to learn more about faith, friendship, love, and identity.
She led a Bible study for three years, lectored at Mass, and lived in Catholic women’s houses. “I didn't feel like I was "holy" or "Catholic" enough to lead a Bible study, but the missionaries assured me that it's really not about us; it's about letting God work through us.”
Getting more women involved with FOCUS and the St. Al’s community has been a gift to Annika. “As a woman who studies at Tech, you may feel isolated, lonely, and misunderstood. Having women around you who not only understand those experiences and feelings but also share the same faith as you is empowering.”
