Todd and Theresa Gross attended Mass at St. Al’s periodically as students while attending Michigan Tech in the 1980s, but the couple didn’t get involved in the ministry.
“We donate now to St. Al’s because we understand what we missed out on,” Todd says. “It’s easy to lose your connection to God in college. You’re on your own for the first time, and start making a lot of decisions that are outside of the guidance of your parents and family. It is vital to stay connected to God’s love and grace during this pivotal time in your life.”
The couple’s son attends Michigan Tech and St. Al’s. They support St. Al’s be-cause they have seen first-hand how he has benefited from the ministry.
“While God loves our children much more than we ever could, we see the St. Al’s community as an extension of our family that provides the values and support our son needs during this time of his life. Our support is small in comparison to what we receive.”
