As a missionary, Kam’s greatest desire is to lead all students to Christ. He has experienced the power of truth and wants to share that freedom with others. While being surrounded by many people in early college he was still lonely. Authentic and intentional friendship changed his heart and has led him to where he is today.
Kam has been surprised by the different people he has encountered while walking with them. Following the Holy Spirit takes many paths and he is excited to keep seeing where it goes.
Q&A with Kam:
Q: What three things would your ideal weekend include? A: Prayer, daily Mass on Saturday, and spending time with close, faithful Catholic friends.
Q: Assuming all of your human needs are taken care of, what unessential item(s) would you want with you on a deserted island? A: Milk (as pure as it gets).
Q: If you could be any animal for a week, which would you choose? A: I would probably stay human, but if I had to be a different animal, I think I would be a panda bear.
Q: What is something you do to feel better on a bad day? A: Pray and spend time in community. I have found ultimate ping pong to be quite ultimate in uplifting spirits!
Q: What is the most uninteresting true thing you could tell someone about yourself? A: I can’t tan…(my soccer coach used to call me Casper).
Q: Favorite food/dessert a family member makes: A: Dessert: blueberry cobbler. Family member: my mother.
Q: What would be the first thing you’d do if you won the lottery? A: If it were any significant chunk of money, I would get rid of it all as fast as I possibly could (to the Church in some form of course).
Some know, some don’t know - our FOCUS Missionaries are tasked with raising their own salary. They actively fundraise and build a network of prayerful support for their missions.
Please pray for Kamaron as he continues his valiant mission to reach the college students here at MTU! You’re doing great work, Kamaron! Thank you for sharing your time, talent, and treasure with us!!
