Matt Henry grew up somewhere else and now he is here, settling into Yooper life with his beautiful dog, Oliver.
Matt (along with our FOCUS missionary Kamaron) has spent the last few months roughing it in an old hunting cabin. Thankfully, and by the Grace of God, he has finally moved into his new home! Congratulations on your new home-ownership, Matt!
“My journey to becoming a missionary, like many people, is all over the place. I have had plenty of uncertainties in my life whether that be my major, which I changed twice as an undergrad, or what I want to do with my life. I got a Bacherlor's in English, then a Master's in Theology. I lived with missionaries for a few years and with monks for a few weeks. One thing that is certain in my life is God's call to serve students on campus. Feel free to reach out if you'd like to hear more about how exactly I heard God's call to mission."

Some know, some don’t know - our FOCUS Missionaries are tasked with raising their own salary. They actively fundraise and build a network of prayerful support for their missions.
“When I answered the call to join FOCUS, I made the decision to rely on the spiritual and financial support of mission partners to help me through this mission. I've been blessed with the most amazing people who have journeyed with me as I serve on campus. If you are interested in partnering with me, please let me know of the best way to reach you and I will schedule an appointment. I'd be honored to share this mission with you.”
Please pray for Matt as he enters this new stage of life as a homeowner, and continues his valiant mission to reach the college students here at MTU!
You’re doing great work, Matt! Thank you for sharing your time, talent, and treasure with us!
