This fall, eight men who have attended St. Al’s in recent years will be in formation and discerning the path to the priesthood and/or religious life.
Fr. Ben Hasse says this is an unprecedented surge in vocations for the priesthood and he is excited that St. Al’s is helping to move more men to discern this vocation.
“I think this exciting news will give many people new hope that the Lord is calling young men and women to serve the Church in radical ways.”
In future issues of the newsletter, we will share the stories of these young men and where God is leading them.
Sr. Jacqueline Spaniola has been working with couples to prepare them for marriage, the predominant vocation to which many of our students are called. In the past four years since Sr. Jacqueline has been at St. Al’s, she has helped prepare 30 couples for marriage!
Sr. Jacqueline also has led many young ladies to Come and See weekends at her convent, the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. While many women have explored the religious life, St. Al’s doesn’t have any entering that vocation right now.
