Supported by an outpouring of generosity during the St. Al’s Giving Day (Nov. 15th), as well as the generosity of many family members and friends who donated to specific students, the Yooper Catholic group (MTU, NMU, and LSSU) for SEEK25 was the biggest ever, almost 200 people! From Michigan Tech alone, over 125 people traveled out to Salt Lake City, Utah. Here are just a few of the many stories from students!

During SEEK, thousands bent their knees and lifted their hearts in worship and adoration. Crowds were set on fire for their faith by impassioned speakers. Priests opened their churches for Mass to over a hundred of us from St. Al's on our journey. And in the midst of all of this, I individually encountered the love of our infinite God. The keynote talks and hospitality of everyone at the convention sparked a realization within me that God doesn't lose sight of me in the multitude. I took home from SEEK the discovery that He is constantly chasing after me and has endless love to pour into our relationship.

“At SEEK25, I was able to find a sense of joy in being a servant of God. I spent time with the Lord and with my friends, and learned about a lot of topics from great speakers. I came home with a renewed intention to live how we are made to live, and to spread the good news of salvation to my campus.”

“SEEK was an unforgettable experience, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to be a part of it this year! Being surrounded by thousands of college students that cherish their faith is such a beautiful feeling. Every speaker I heard left me with chills and with lessons that I’m still reflecting on and implementing into my life. The biggest takeaway for me was the overwhelming reminder that I can trust that the Lord will never guide me towards what I cannot handle, because we are never truly alone. Everyone at SEEK shares a love for their Father, for one another, and for the community of Christians that want to grow deeper in their faith.”

“As someone pursuing entry into the Catholic Church, it was especially powerful to see and experience the fellowship of so many people following Christ in such a clear way. Mass and Adoration were places where I felt this overflowing love of God the most. The smaller sessions explored and answered more specific questions about the faith which can be chosen to be applicable to your daily life and struggles. I really enjoyed the men’s sessions where we could all come together and be brothers in Christ. Mission way, with its shops and booths, was also neat and within it, I found a place where I purchased my first two rosaries.”
